Offering support to those who rarely take it but are always there to offer it
Since launching Wren Coaching & Wellbeing, I have had the opportunity to work with several charity organisations, supporting their staff and service users to overcome a variety of barriers and challenges.

I have found the experience of working with these organisations incredibly humbling and rewarding. I feel that the values and culture that I hold in my own business are aligned with the Charities with whom I have worked and I continue to promote my services within this sector.

Supporting the staff that runs organisations is key to ensure the sustainability of the services they offer. Typical problems that I have helped people overcome have been:

•    Dealing with pressure
•    Dealing with conflicting priorities
•    Building resilience
•    Building confidence
•    Navigating change

In terms of the charities service users, I have offered my mindfulness and relaxation courses as well as group coaching sessions, covering topics such as:

•    Guilt
•    Self-care
•    Self-esteem
•    Self-compassion

Case study: Carers Link Mindful Mondays

Carers Link is an amazing charity organisation that provides practical and emotional support to unpaid carers in Lancashire. The project brief was to provide 2 hours of respite to their service users at their hub in Accrington once a week. Since the workshops were delivered on a Monday we decided to call them “Mindful Mondays”

Every week, I delivered a mindfulness and relaxation workshop that would focus on a specific topic, hence incorporating group coaching in the sessions. We covered topics such as: gratitude, dealing with guilt, self-care, self-esteem and letting go of pressure.

The sessions created a wonderful support system for the service users who could find solace in sharing their problems and knowing that they were not alone. Mindful Mondays also enabled the carers to let go of pressure and practice some much needed self-care. The opportunity to reflect and recharge was invaluable to individuals who never get a break in their lives as carers and I was incredibly grateful to be part of this project.

Case study - PAC team building workshop

PAC - Positive Action in the Community is a fantastic charity organisation that provides a multitude of services, helping with domestic abuse, homelessness and poor mental health.

The project to which Wren Coaching & Wellbeing contributed was to deliver a part of the charity’s team building day, helping staff reconnect with themselves and learn how to listen to their inner wisdom.

The team building workshop offered a safe environment in which individuals felt that they could open up, explore different topics as well as relate to other members of staff who experienced similar challenges.

The blending of mindfulness and group coaching enabled the PAC team to be challenged, push themselves past their comfort zone from time to time, connect as a team and recharge as individuals.

Case study - ADVOCACY FOCUS - Day retreat fundraising event

Advocacy Focus is an incredible charity organisation that provides practical and emotional support to young people and adults who are struggling within the health and social care system. The charity supports the people who use their services by enabling them to be their own best advocate when it comes to key decisions about their lives, such as where they want to live or what treatment they would like to receive.  Advocacy Focus helps people live the lives they want to live.

Wren Coaching & Wellbeing hosted a day retreat for women in need of having a break and reconnect with themselves by exploring some existential questions in terms of identity, self-love and self-care.

The day retreat is a great example of how my services can be used to help individuals whilst fundraising for your organisation.
