What is Relax Kids?
I initially discovered Relax Kids during the first Covid-19 lockdown when my own son found it challenging to cope with the sudden changes that the pandemic brought into our world. I decided I wanted to have the skill set to help children create a better relationship with themselves and create a good foundation for their own mental health, and Relax Kids ticked all the boxes.

Relax Kids offers a unique system of children's relaxation and mindfulness that helps children decrease stress and anxiety, increase attention span, and improve concentration. The sessions support good mental health, children’s self-esteem, and resilience. Relax Kids has shown to improve emotional wellbeing and behaviour in children.

Relax Kids sessions incorporate movement and exercise, mindfulness and relaxation games, stretching, peer or self-massage, breathing techniques, affirmations, and visualisations. Each session is based on an imaginative theme, gently introducing children to simple and fun mindfulness tools that can be used in all areas of their lives.
​Why Do Children Attend Relax Kids Sessions?

Children attend Relax Kids classes to learn about their emotions and how to manage them. Through practising mindfulness and various techniques, children learn how to self-soothe, manage their moods, and improve their relationship with themselves.

Age Group for Relax Kids Sessions

Relax Kids sessions are suitable from reception to year 6.
​​Where Are Relax Kids Sessions Delivered?
​
The sessions are delivered in person in Colne, Lancashire and last approximately 1 hour. I work with both parents and children, creating a super team, sharing my toolbox of skills and techniques, and teaching my clients how to increase their emotional wellbeing.
While I act in the capacity of a Relax Kids coach, I also draw on my expertise as an NLP and IEMT practitioner, mental health first aid trainer, and mindfulness instructor to tailor each session to the child's specific needs.

Parental Involvement​
Whenever I work with children, I also work with parents. The initial consultation will always be with the adult, and so will my contract of work. Here is what you can expect from initial contact to delivering sessions:

Initial contact through social media or website/email.

Receive a response within 24 hours.

Book a video call, phone call, or a meeting in person to discuss your initial needs.

Book a meeting in person with you and your child for initial introductions.

Receive a contract to sign digitally with cost and policy details.

Start sessions, typically weekly or fortnightly with your child. Depending on your child’s needs, you can take a step back and simply attend the sessions without getting involved, or I can deliver the sessions as a family activity.

Follow-up calls after every session to discuss progress and feedback.
